Which articulate product would suit best?

Dec 31, 2014

Hello! We want to develop an e-learning website (such as https://gmat.magoosh.com/). Can someone advice which Articulate product will suit best?

I am a novice in e-learning.

Could you explain a little more about what you mean by an e-learning website? The link you provided was broken. Here are just a few questions which may help you...

  •  Who is your target audience? What device will they use to take the course? Desktop, mobile, tablet?
  • What do you want to teach them? Are you providing a full-course? flash cards? quick review? a supplement to your existing online course?
  • What is your development budget and can that be supported by the price of the course and the market share?

Happy New Year!

Hi! The website is: https://gmat.magoosh.com/

Actually I want to build a "commercial website", wherein we would charge the users, if they opt for our course. I would say it needs to be a full-fledged e-learning website including content, tests, evaluation, keeping track of performance of the students, giving the students selective access to the material (based upon their subscription) etc.

So, it's a full course, and should be enabled on all platforms (desktop, mobile and tablet).

Since I will be starting afresh, budget is a BIG thing, but if you could give me more insights, it will help me take a call.

Hi!

If I've understood correctly, it sounds like you'll be needing two things:

- An LMS, to host and track the courses (e.g. Articulate Online)

- An authoring tool, to create the e-learning courses (e.g. Articulate Studio or Storyline)

If you're not sure which authoring tool best suits your needs, check out this comparison of the two products.

Hope that is helpful!

Thanks. Does Storyline have Quizmaker?

Storyline has built-in quizzing capabilities, no need for QuizMaker. See here for some info on graded question types: https://community.articulate.com/series/4/articles/adding-form-based-questions Storyline also provides the option to convert just about any interaction into a scored interaction with Freefom questions.
