Why is Articulate not compatible for Mac?

May 31, 2016

I earlier had a Windows system on my office machine. Now i have just received a new Mac from my office. I work extensively on Articulate, however, I can't use it any more as it is not supported by Articulate, unless i download some additional software like Parallel Windows and, surprisingly, Windows!! Why cant Articulate make a version for Articulate???

Hi Arti,

Thanks for reaching out here. We know a lot of people have questions about the set up of Articulate on a Mac - and our team is always investigating different ways for customers to create engaging e-learning content. Our team here at Articulate cannot share specifics about our road map beyond what we have publicly announced. I hope that you will be as excited about what we are working on as we are excited about creating it.

In the meantime, a number of forums members (and a lot of staff) utilize Storyline (and Studio) on a Mac by running inside VMWare or Parallels and then having Windows installed as well. You can read some recommendations by other users in this discussion and you may want to review the information here in regards to getting set up on a Mac.

David Anderson wrote a great article (with videos) for using Articulate products on Mac (https://community.articulate.com/articles/articulate-storyline-for-mac) - many e-learning developers I know (myself included) work in Articulate products exclusively on a Mac, and I've found my experience to be quite seamless, using Parallels.
