I think this is file specific since my simple test courses perform similarly on iOS and Android. It's possible that the difference is not as apparent since my sample course would most likely contain less content than yours.
Can you please file a support case via http://articulatecase.com and share your .STORY file? Please also indicate what kind of iOS and Android device you used for testing.
