Some time ago, PowerPoint came out with a transition called Morph that literally morphs shapes, colors, strokes, graphics, etc. from one slide to the next. In other words, if you build a design on one slide, duplicate the slide, and make changes to the shapes on the second slide, the Morph transition will smoothly deform the shapes from the first slide to the next. This transition is POWERFUL for animation. I feel that small animations of this kind are especially important for a product like Storyline. In a sense, the ability to build animations is one of the key features that I feel is missing from Storyline. If Articulate would consider adding the Morph transition to Storyline, it would allow users to animate the graphics on the screen with triggers, and I believe that would open up new worlds of possibility with Storyline. Is this something you all would consider adding to Storyline?

11 pages of comments requesting this feature should say something about the need. I have been using Articulate since it was first on the market and I love it. The only thing that really frustrates me is that the animations dont have easing and having a morph feature would be a game changer. Even Canva has a morph feature now called magic move. The animation features in social media apps are far surpassing Articulate’s animation capabilities. Its getting hard to explain to clients why the animations in Storyline projects look primitive in comparison. Please up your game with better animation features.

Just want to say I would love to see this function in Storyline. It would truly change the game for me and a lot of IDs I am sure. Currently, I do my morphing in Powerpoint and export as a video to insert in Storyline, which takes more time. Great suggestion Cameron!

Respectfully, I'd submit that you're not reaching a representative sample of your core users. Typically, the most vocal and/or the most aggravated are the people who take time to log on, find a board, locate a request link, etc., and then take time to post. That's a small percentage. Requesting the morph transition is rather akin to requesting indoor plumbing. If the 2 star hostel down the street (Powerpoint) has it, but the 4 star luxury chain (Articulate) doesn't, most people will just work around it until they find a way to pack up and move on. They are spending time finding out what software that amazing design they love was created in, and after enough of the same answer, they jump ship. Consider this board a canary in the coal mine rather than an pesky outlier, please.

  The features currently in development seem great. I just want to understand where Morph transition sits: is next on the list, barely on the radar, or somewhere in between (and if so, what that means for a timeline). This post alone is from 2018 and has a number of comments in support. Given that time, I think it's reasonable for the Product team to be clear with clients on whether or not this is happening, and if so the eta. Thanks!

Gethyn, perhaps with your 100 and my 20, it'll be enough for Articulate to realize that users really want this - not just the vocal ones, but the ones that wish it was available and didn't know how to make their voice heard. I'll reach out to you offline - I have a separate question!
