Articulate's Forced Login

Can you guys look into what triggers Articulate to require me to re-enter my login credentials and when?

I was in the middle of editing a Rise 360 course when out of nowhere I'm suddenly being asked to sign in to Articulate which I had already done this very morning.

I've posted this to "Rise 360" as that's where I was when I encountered this.

  • Hi Sam,

Great question! I understand that you'd like some information on what causes Articulate to require you to re-login and I was able to find that information for you. The most common cause is that the login session timed out. By default, sessions are live for 30 days. There is also an inactivity timeout, which kicks in by default at 7 days.

It sounds like you are experiencing something different than the defaults. There has been a bug that has already been reported about this. I'm going to add your voice to the report. If there's any news regarding this bug, this conversation will be updated.

Lastly, which web browser are you using when this happens? This information will help with troubleshooting.

Thanks for letting us know about this!

      Hi,

I experienced this a few minutes ago,

While editing a Rise course, I got the "Something went wrong" message.

I got kicked out of the course and Rise.

I had to log back into Rise.

Using Chrome Version 111.0.5563.147 (Official Build) (64-bit)

      Thanks for the response John.

I'll keep that info in mind so I know what to expect. Am I right to assume the defaults you mentioned cannot be changed? - or at least cannot be changed by an individual on a team license who is not the admin?

        Hi Sam,

Yes, you are correct. These defaults exist in the backend and cannot be modified or changed. We're carefully monitoring the issue mentioned by my colleague John, and we'll be sure to share any new updates regarding the issue here as soon as we get them!
