Last login

Hi, I am an Articulate administrator.

Is there a way of checking when our license holders were using Articulate the last time?

I can download a report with a "last login" date, but this date it is not the date where they used Articulate the last time but actually the last time they logged in using their login after a sign out.

Is there a way of forcing all users to log in every time they use the software?

Best regards

Thomas

      Hi Luciana,

Thanks for that reply. So let me ask a clarifying question: Even if I use Articulate 360 every day, I will be signed out every 30 days? And then my login data will be updated once I login?

      Please confirm :)

      Thanks in advance,

      Thomas

        Hi ThomasGysting!

Glad to see Luciana's been helping you! Happy to jump in here!

I can confirm that you are correct, and that is the expected behavior. By default, sessions are live for 30 days. There is also an inactivity timeout, which kicks in at the 7-day mark. After that, the new log-in data will be reflected on the downloaded CSV file.

Please let me know if you have any more questions!

  • Hi Steven,

I have now tried to test this, and it seems like I am not logged out, neither after 7 days of inactivity, nor after 30 days. If you check my last login then it is 18th October. And that is more than 30 days, and I have tried also with a 8 day inactivity and it also did not trigger a forced login.

    Please, can you check this?

    Best regards,

    Thomas

      Hi ThomasGysting!

      Thanks for following up!

Is there a chance some type of firewall could be getting in the way of your internet connection? The Articulate 360 desktop application must be connected to the internet in order to sign a user out.

If you've confirmed that's not the case and are still seeing this behavior, please connect with our team through a support case. They'd be happy to continue troubleshooting with you!

        HI Steven,

I am not sure I fully understand what you are writing about firewall and how they would influence the last login.

As I understand your 7 and 30 days rules, then you would be prompted for a login every 7 days without inactivity and every 30 days regardless what. And I have been logging in and out for more than 30 days now and I was never prompted for a login, so either I am not understanding the 7 and 30 days rules correctly or it is not set up like this in your systems.

I hope you will be able to help me, as we need this information to understand how our users are using the tool.

        Best regards,

        Thomas
