Attn David: Feedback on my eLearning template please
Hi David. I just watched the Graphic Design Essentials Part 1 webinar. Feeling both inspired and stuck. You mentioned I could submit a project for feedback, so thought I'd submit this corporate template I use and have been developing for a little while for projects I do at work.
I've customised the slide masters, but don't know 100% what I'm doing. In the project in two different scenes I also have a design library of some re-usable elements I often incorporate into my projects.
I'd appreciate feedback please on any improvements I can make to:
1. visual design
2. efficiency with how I use my slide masters and layouts.
3. navigation - it makes sense to me to have the blue borders at the top and bottom to frame the slide and also so I can accommodate the back/next/submit buttons as I don't use the player. Does this look ok?
Feedback from anyone and everyone else also appreciated. thanks
Hi Joel,
I've passed this link onto David to take a look.
Hi Joel! Just letting you know I didn't forget about you. I'll post something after this morning's training webinar.
Thanks again for sharing your template, Joel.
Overall, you're on the right track. You created theme fonts and colors, which are the two best places to focus when you're getting started.
The three areas I focused on were:
- Content holders (whitespace, boxes)
- Alignment and spacing
- Basic hierarchy for your text elements
Here's a preview of how I applied those elements to one of your slides:
And here's a moderately quick (15-minute video) overview of my suggested updates:

I hope this helps. Remember, these are only suggestions, so take what fits and discard what you don't need.

Hey David thank you for the video and amended project file. Very helpful and much appreciated! This will give me a great reference point moving forwards!
