Can't publish a new version of an existing item
Every time I publish my Rise courses to 360, it creates new review links. I don't see any option to keep the same review links- the only option I have is to create a new item. This is a huge pain because I have to send out the new links and all old comments get wiped out.
According to the web page at https://community.articulate.com/articles/rise-360-publishing-a-course-to-review-360, I should be seeing "Publish a new version of an existing item," but I do not have that option (see screenshot.)
Because I'm a course manager, I also don't see previous versions in 360, which means that if I do republish, I lose all comments.
How can I fix this?
Good news! Now you can create shared team folders in Review 360 to organize your content, assign permissions, and invite collaborators. This enhancement allows multiple authors to publish new versions of a course to the same Review 360 project.
Give this new feature a try, and let us know if you have any questions about it!

Yes -- you do need to own the course to publish as a new version.
My team and I have experienced this as well. We don't like it either.

I believe the issue is that I'm a course manager- when I published a test course that I created and own, I saw the option to create a new version. Do I need to be a course owner to publish new versions? If so, is that intentional? Seems like a bug to me.

I have the same issue, but I am an owner. Despite specifying that I'm publishing a new version of the existing module 3, for example, it will label it as "6" and then my client's comments are not present on the new version.
This ruins the whole review workflow, and I have quite a few courses that have numerous modules.

Thanks Chino. No worries, this was mainly to share with Alyssa as she asked anyone to post a video when it happened as it is hard to replicate as it is so random. So was just trying to help out. I am fine with fixing it myself as long as my right course is in the list. Just an odd bug that hopefully the RISE development team can continue to review to see what triggers it :) Happy Friday!

Up voting for the Course Manager's ability to publish a new version to an existing. I'm actually not sure what the downside would be to allowing Course Collaborators to do so as well. This is a pain point for our team. Thank you for considering.

Landed here hoping for a solution, but I'm assuming there isn't one? I guess the course owner will have to transfer the ownership to whoever will more actively publish that week/month while the project is being worked on.

My team is bothered by this as well. We'd like to be able to publish new versions of existing courses as managers. This shouldn't be restricted to owners only. We make our boss the owner of all courses in case anything were to ever happen to any of us.

Now, in addition, when I delete a mislabeled item, it deletes the item according to what the programming has mistakenly identified as that item, so I'm going to have to go back to using email for reviews.

Agreed with the others. Course Managers absolutely must be able to publish new versions of existing modules. What's the status of this request Rise Staff?

Hi Amanda, we don't have this feature in our roadmap right now, but we'll be sure to share our updates here if anything changes!
