Click *some* layers to advance slide

Hello,

My apologies if this is a repeat post, but I couldn't find anything specific to this.

Is there a way to set a trigger or variable so the user can only progress to the next slide after clicking on a certain number of different items on the screen? For example the user could click any 2 of 10 buttons to proceed. All I can find are limitations to click all.

Thank you,
Jen

  • Hi Jennifer, and welcome to the E-Learning Heroes Community! So happy you're here! 🥳

Thanks so much for reaching out!

It sounds like you might benefit from including true/false variables in your course. True/False variables let you unlock or restrict learner options. With Storyline 360, you can add them to your course without coding.

Here is a great webinar where my colleague David Anderson walks through common use cases for true/false variables and shows you how to use them in your projects. True/False variables let you unlock or restrict learner options.

Feel free to share your file so we can take a deeper dive into your current setup.  Happy to help!

Hope this webinar sparks some ideas.
