We can definitely help! It looks like the screenshot didn't make it in your post. Do you mind adding it again?
It sounds like the color palette that you created isn't appearing and even the new palette that you created isn't appearing either.
We have an article sharing the steps on how to customize the theme colors which should be a good starting point until we can take a look at your screenshot! If you can record a screen recording of the behavior, that would help us too.
