Default bullet Font How?

When selecting bulleted custom font text
1. clicking the bullet button will removes the bullets.
2. click the button again will insert the bullets. However, the bullet font changes to Arial but retains the custom font text.

I then have to replace the Arial font with the custom font I using search and replace text. I have to do this every time !!!! on bullet text.

HOW !!! can I stop this? Can I set the default bullet font from Arial somewhere?

  • Hi, Ken.

    Thank you for reaching out!

I'm not sure I'm understanding your process correctly, but I'm not able to reproduce this issue.

Can you share a screen recording of what you're experiencing so we can help you troubleshoot?

  • I am getting the same issue.

In Replace Fonts, I check that all the fonts in the project are my fonts (for this project I am using Montserrat, Montserrat Medium, and Lato). Then I select text and click the bullet button. When I check Replace Fonts after that, Arial appears in the list of fonts in the project.

I tried creating a text style for a bulleted list, but it also created bulleted text in Arial.

The bullets change to very small round bullets.

  • Hi Marianne,

This sounds very annoying! Just so I have a better understanding, are you talking about changing the bullet? If so, after Googling the fonts you are using, it looks like creators of the font didn't create a special bullet for those fonts. So it goes back to the default which is Arial. Here are some links showing all the glyphs used in those fonts.

Montserrat (both versions are in the list)

    Lato

Thanks for reaching out. I hope this explains things.

  • Hi, John,

Thanks for checking! I'll stop trying to fix the font when I add bullets :)
