Disabled States Not Working?
Hi All,
I am having trouble with the disabled state, and was wondering if anyone could help me out?
I have set up some custom next/back buttons, but want the next button to be disabled until the user interacts with some other elements on the slide.
The buttons are made of a shape and an icon, which are grouped. The shape and the icon have each have their own states, hover, down and disabled. I have set the initial state of both the shape and the icon to disabled.
When I go to preview the slide, the button looks to be disabled, but when it is hovered over the hover state is visible, and when the button is clicked on the down state is visible.
My understanding is that when an object is disabled, the user should not be able to interact with it? Is that correct, or is there something else I should be doing? Does it not work because it is in a group?

Groups are finicky (to put it politely) when used a buttons.
I suggest you insert the icon directly into the shape, so that you have only one object. That's what this post is about:
