Disconnect between Design View and Preview View
Guys, it is incredibly frustrating that this issue is still so persistent in Storyline. There should be no reason why the design view should look different from the preview, especially when it only comes to the positioning of the text.
I think the layers is an annoying aspect, but at least, that's understandable. Why is the text positioning subtly different between the two? It's so annoying.
Hello Edward,
Sorry to hear that you're encountering issues with your project when previewing it.
Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a case with our support team so we can take a closer look at the text positioning issue you're experiencing? We'll delete it when we're done testing!

Sorry, confidential company content. It's just kind of ridiculous that I'm having issues with such an unnecessary element that adds more time to development. Now, I'm experiencing the same disconnect when I'm altering positioning of objects within an object's state, and it doesn't save the change when I place it into another larger object's state. Simple things that are having issues/glitches...

There should be zero reason why it's so hard to simply enlarge a smaller object with several states without completing screwing things up between states. Ugh...
I understand how frustrating the experience must be, especially if you're working against a deadline. Here are a few things that you can try to help troubleshoot the behavior:
- Make sure that you're working locally when making any changes to your project file
- Do a repair of your Storyline 360 installation
If the issue persists, let us know so we can get you in touch with our support team for further assistance.

Some subtle movement of designed objects when previewed can be caused by designing at a zoom value other that 100%. Zooming in or out causes difficulties in pixel calculation. Also, there can be problems if you are using multiple monitors, depending on the resolution settings.
