Displaying Default Variable Value in the LMS

I have two queries:

1) To track the progress of my module, I've added a default variable, "Project.Progress," to the master slide. How can I ensure that the value of this variable is sent to the LMS if the user closes the course abruptly? 

I have set the status to be reported to the LMS as: Completed/Incomplete.

2) Is it possible to modify the manifest file to retrieve the value of this variable in the LMS?

    Hello Mahesh,

    Thanks for reaching out! Please see my responses below.

    1. There are two ways to send a variable's value to your LMS in Storyline. One uses Custom xAPI Statements (xAPI and cmi5), and the other uses Survey Questions. You can add the trigger that sends the value of the Project.Progress variable when the timeline starts for each slide in the Slide master. Let me know if one of these ways to send a variable value works for you.
    2. We don't support modifying the published output, but I'd like to open the floor to our community members if they can weigh in on this question.
