edX Incorrectly Displaying SCORM Images
Hello!
I am experiencing an issue with images in a Rise SCORM package I uploaded into edX.
The SCORM environment works without issue, and I'm able to navigate and interact with the content, but the images are not displaying/loading properly. For some reason only one image is loading and then replacing every image in the SCORM environment with the same image.
It seems that any image with "stock-image.jpg" in the image address is causing the issue.
Things I've tried:
- Uploading both SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004
- Renamed every image address containing "stock-image.jpg" with a unique name. This caused other issues but I figured it was worth a shot.
edX support says it is an issue with the SCORM package itself, but offered no suggestions or information on what specifically the issue could be. Attached is a screenshot. That handshake image is replacing every image that follows with the same handshake image.
I think the 'stock-image.jpg' address is the culprit but I'm unsure what the workaround is.
Hi JoeDepczynski-3,
Happy to help!
I'm unfamiliar with edX LMS, so I'm unsure how SCORM-compliant it is. One test you can do is upload your course on another LMS like SCORM Cloud to confirm if the behavior you're experiencing is LMS-specific. If the images in your course load correctly in SCORM Cloud, there's a strong possibility the issue only happens when your course is uploaded in edX, and you'll need to work with their support team to investigate further what's causing it.
Let me know how your course behaves in SCORM Cloud!

Hi Jose, thanks for your reply! I tired the course in SCORM Cloud and it loaded all images correctly. I guess this means I have to speak with edX again.
If the cause is identified I will update this thread.
