Embed Youtube Video - Error 153
I am having a similar issue. I sent Articulate an email last week and followed up 3 different times and still no response.
Case Number: 01334264
Case Details: I am creating a SL course. I have tried embedding 3 youtube videos and I keep getting an error (Error 153 Video player configuration error) once the course is published. (It also says I cannot view video during preview). I have tried to resolve this finding articles and youtube videos. I have tried clearing cookies and using different browsers and allowing 3rd party cookies. I would like to do this from Edge but I have tried Chrome as well. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
If you are able to see my case number, I have a link to my course and the embedded codes.
Can you help me?
Hello chood1,
Thanks for reaching out! I see that my colleague Robby has reached out to you via email this afternoon in your case. You're in excellent hands!
Please let us know if you do not receive their email, I'm happy to check on this for you!

Any resolution to this issue? A course that was published in SCORM 1.2 about 2 years ago is all of the sudden having this error come up. Over 2000 completion records without an issue. This 153 error message is now coming up. I can click the frame and then the video pops up in a new window but that is not how it is supposed to function.

Hello JamesAllison-4a,
Thanks for reaching out! I'm happy to share a quote from my colleague Robby who assisted Calley in their case:
If you published the project for LMS or web distribution, you will need to upload the generated output to an LMS or web server, respectively. Embedded YouTube videos do not appear to work when viewed locally on the computer.
- What LMS are you currently using?
- Do you experience this behavior when testing out your course in SCORM Cloud?
- Is this happening with any other courses, or just this one?
I'm curious to learn more about your setup! We'd be happy to take a closer look at your files within a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
