Free Journal Entry for Students
Hi there,
Curious, as my team is building a Public Speaking & Storytelling course, we want to give students a free form opportunity to write a journal entry. Is this possible in Rise 360 or Storyline 360?
Similarly, can students answer prompting questions that do not have "correct" or "incorrect" answers. But simply a space to type in answers that help guide their process?

I have recently worked on a solution for Rise, and will be looking to develop a similar solution for Storyline.

Michael,
You can test drive Storyline with a free trial here: Get a Free Trial of Storyline 360 - Articulate 360
I have access to Storyline 360 through work.

Thank you so much Kendal! You wouldn't happen to know if you test drive Storyline with a free trial would you? So far I've only been building on Rise 360.
Thanks again,
M
Hi Michael
Happy to jump in here!
Glad to hear you've been exploring Rise 360! As Kendal shared, you do have access to Storyline 360 while on a free trial of Articulate 360. However, Storyline 360 is one of our desktop applications and would need to be downloaded locally to your machine first.
- Here's a quick screen recording of how to access the download file!
Also, if you'd like to continue building your current course, you can create a survey question in Storyline 360, and insert it into your Rise 360 course using a Storyline Block. If you have additional questions, please let us know!

Hi Michael,
You can have learners input text in Storyline by going to: Insert>Input>Text Entry. The text can be stored in a variable which you can then have show up later if you want.
