FUNCTION KEYS - Specifically F11 used in Simulation

Does anyone know how to successfully simulate the use of the F11 key WITHOUT it maximizing and minimizing the browser window? I have used Owen Holt's solution here, Function Key SL, but when ...
try
- activate fullscreen option in nav bar (-> player settings)
- publish
- jump to the slide with your simulation
- click fullscreen mode in the nav bar
- click now F11
- what happens?
