HELP! I have published a course on our LMS and have now found a very weird CC glitch.

Hello SarahSexton,
Thanks so much for reaching out and sharing your materials with us! I want to confirm I can experience this behavior when viewing your file.
I'm happy to share that I was able to successfully remove the caption that was sticking and re-insert the caption to avoid the double captions displaying in your course.
Here's how:
1. Open the project file in Storyline and navigate to the audio file Audio 2 in your Timeline.
2. Right-click on the audio file in the Timeline, and click Edit Captions.
3. Once you are in the Closed Captions Editor window, select the first portion of the caption and click the Delete Caption button. You'll see that the first portion of the sentence, "Sometimes families need assistance..." is the only removed portion of text.
4. Keeping the cursor at the beginning of the audio file, click on Insert Caption to replace the missing text.
5. After replacing the text, click Save to save your changes.
- I'd like to share a visual of these steps in action for your reference. You'll find the updated .story file attached to my reply.
I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!
Do you have any idea of why this happened so I can never do it again?
Hello SarahSexton,
You're very welcome! I'm so glad that that did the trick!
- How are you inserting your Closed Captioning?
- I'm curious if you were importing your Closed Caption files, and perhaps there was a corrupt file in the mix for that specific piece of audio, which caused the duplicate.
- Do you recall manually modifying that specific piece of captions in the Closed Captions Editor?
- Has this happened with any other projects or just this one?
If this happens again, please feel free to reach out in this thread so we can investigate further!
