Help with drag and drop please

Hello

Newbie here. I'm creating a drag and drop and was hoping there is a way to make just two of the objects spring back to where they were before dragging. There are six circles on the slide and circles 2 and 6 are the incorrect answers. Is there a way to make just those two circles to spring back to where they were. The other four can stay stacked on the image.

Thanks so much in advance.

  • Hi Julie,

Here are the steps to acheive what you want:

    1. Add two hotspots as drop targets for the incorrect drag objects and place them under the incorrect drag objects) .
    2. Add the default "Drop Incorrect" state to both of the incorrect drag objects.
    3. Set a trigger to show the incorrect layer when any of the incorrect drag object's state is Drop Incorrect.
    4. Have "Return item to start point if dropped outside" checked on the drag item options.

So when the incorrect object drops on wrong target, it will change its state to Drop Incorrect and open the incorrect layer and then return back to where it was.

      Hi Julie,

      1. The hotspots should be placed "under" the incorrect drag objects not "below". The drag objects will be on top of the hotspots, so they will be only dropped on the original position even even if on purpose.
      2. Do you add the default "Drop Incorrect" state to both of the incorrect drag objects? I do not see this from your video.
      3. The main problem is to show incorrect layer trigger not when incorrect item drops on Correct target but "when any of the incorrect drag object's state is Drop Incorrect".
      4. Set return item to start point if dropped outside "a correct drop target" not "any drop target".

Thanks Joanne, apologies for the misunderstanding. I have moved the hotspots behind the incorrect drag objects and changed the drop target to 'a correct drop target'. I believe I have now changed the state, but I'm just going to do another video to show you the progress as I still can't get the incorrect drag objects to go back to their original spot.

      Hi Julie,

From your video, you still use the wrong triggers to show incorrect layers. (the 3rd point mentioned)

Show incorrect layer trigger NOT when incorrect item drops on Correct target but "when any of the incorrect drag object (the circle not the drag item group) state is Drop Incorrect".
