I need bigger brains than mine please

I am trying to create a DiSC style course...I have created 10 questions related to DiSC profiles but now I'm stuck.

I want to score the questions so that it spits out the correct profile based on what they have chosen through the 10 questions.

I initially thought of just scoring them and then having the highest score dictate the feedback they receive, but I'm now not sure if that would work or how to make it work...any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi Daniel - Not quite sure exactly how you see this working, but I hope this might help. We use slider-based surveys in some of our client projects (although there is no reason why each slider could not be replaced with a radio button multiple choice).

The screen is NOT a quiz - you just create the screen and insert sliders or radio buttons. The SUBMIT button just goes to the next screen. But you have the values input stored in variables e.g.

You can then manipulate the feedback or calculate what you like with these numbers e.g. I could give specific feedback to anyone scoring over 25 on this screen suggesting they should seriously have their sense of taste tested!

Using Quizzes and the feedback from them limits you with this type of application. Fortunately Storyline has enough power to build the questionnaire from scratch - and you can always add a bit of JavaScript if you need more complex math with the results.

  • MATE that is brilliant...thanks so much...downloading the results is a great idea...thanks so much John, top man
