Is there a reliable way of making scrolling panels work?

It seems to have been hit-or-miss throughout my experience of creating scrolling panels. Sometimes it snaps into place, and sometimes it's a real pain. The problem is that there's no consistency in making it happen. I've tried making the scrolling panel wider than the object. I've tried making it slimmer than the object. Neither worked. I tried making it spacious enough for the object to fit inside without coming up against the borders on the right and left.

Is there an actually viable way of snapping the object into place so that the scrolling panel works?

  • No answer? I guess there isn't. That's a shame. I continue to run into this unnecessary issue over and over again

  • Have you tried making sure that the cursor is entirely within the panel before releasing it?

Have you tried dragging the object into the panel on the timeline? Have you tried holding your mouth the same way I hold mine? I've not experienced what you describe, so I can't test any solutions.

  • the text box should be narrower and longer than the panel to work most times.
