I suggest you do not copy and paste. If you are putting the slides in the same project, Select them, right-click and Duplicate. If they are destined for a different scene, duplicate, create scene, and drag (in story view) to new scene.
If you are putting them in a different project, close the source project, open the target project, select the slides you want, and import from SL.
In everything SL does, copy and paste is usually the least reliable method.

You literally saved me hours with this post. I copied a slide I knew worked, but then didn't when I pasted to a new project. the Duplication worked seamlessly.

I'm happy to help troubleshoot. We can start by checking if you're working on your local drive; working on a network drive can cause erratic behavior. If the problem still happens, try running these steps to repair Storyline.
