Learning Journal In Rise
Hi Rachel, I have noticed the same issue (the journal entry textbox only working on the second viewing) in the last two weeks. Would be very interested to hear if anyone has found a way to remedy this.
I'm seeing the issue on the Chrome browser but it's working as expected on Edge. Haven't been able to test other browsers yet.

Thanks Martin! I CANNOT get it to work in Chrome, but I've now had success in Firefox as well. I will try Safari a bit later. If there are any super tech people that might have a reason I'd be interested. I know the browsers work differently but my background knowledge is limited and I'm very surprised that Chrome is the culprit, I often have more issues with Firefox and Edge.

If it helps at all, the issue doesn't happen in Chrome on my macbook, but it does happen in Chrome on my PC, using Windows 11.

Hello all. It is possible that the issue is due to a deprecated event that is being used in the JavaScript. Chrome recently removed the deprecated event as it had been deprecated >10 years ago.
I have made some corrections to the library, as well as removing the jQuery dependency.
I have updated the files on my repository: https://github.com/samthill/learning-journal
