Left arrow key press works and then does not

I have a file which has a trigger for the left arrow key press. It works for a minute and then it disappears. The right, up and down still work, and the 'joystick' left button I made works but the left just will not work. 

I have copied and pasted it into a new file and it will then work the first couple of times but stops again. Can anyone tell me if they have seen this issue and how I can fix it?

    Are the motion paths relative? The triggers you show are for keys rather than the buttons

      They are. The joystick control works perfectly, but the left arrow key press would only work sporadically. I finally just changed the key presses to wasd instead and that worked. Thank you!
