Master Slides in different orientations in the same story
I have a need to vary the orientation of slides in a Storyline 2 story. The slide dimensions are exactly the same but some will be horizontal and others vertical. I've tried to create a second Master but I haven't been successful in getting the orientation to change. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks Maria - not the answer I wanted to hear, but helpful nonetheless. Have a great day!
Hi Rich,
Within Storyline the slide size (story size) is set for an entire course - and there wouldn't be a way to adjust the orientation of slides from portrait to landscape or vice a versa.
Could you share a bit more about how you're looking to use these two orientations and then we can offer some other ideas?

I am also looking to do this. Add one slide in landscape and the others all portrait. I have one slide that I am looking to make lightbox and I want it to appear landscape. Is this possible in Storyline 2?
Hi Yvonne,
There isn't an option in Storyline 2 to adjust the story size for individual slides or scenes - it's a setting that is applied to the entire course.

Hi There
I would also like to have one or two pages within a storyline project in portrait mode. I see that this has been brought up several times - please could it be set as an option?
Hi Taryn,
Thanks for contacting us to share that this is a feature you would like to see.
Can I have one or two pages within a storyline project in portrait mode while the others are in landscape mode?
As Ashley explained, currently the Story Size is for the entire course. I am not aware of any plans to change this functionality, but I have submitted the feature request on your behalf.
If you have any other ideas for the software, you can always submit your feature requests right here :)

Was this feature ever reviewed again for inclusion? Or does it remain somewhere in the stack of "ideas we may consider" and thus not yet slated for building out to reality? I'm currently doing a project where the ability have both portrait and landscape modes (replicating a tablet app) would absolutely be a lifesaver.

Hi, Joe.
Thank you for reaching out! While I don't have any news to share on this feature request, I wanted to share the article below that explains a little more about our process:

Hello all,
I would like to chime in, maybe helping you with a usecase where having for some pages a different orientation would help.
All our courses are set in landscape, as it is on par with the computer screens in our enterprise setup. But we have started to use more the print link in Storyline, so that we can create, at the end of the courses, synthesises that a user can print to keep at hand, such as cheatsheets, etc. Those are really appreciated, but in the print form, the normal orientation is more vertical, and also, when using the print option, the page is also forced into vertical mode.
So why not being able to create a special print synthesis page with A4 formatting ? Also, doing that printable synthesis directly in SL helps with machine translations : there's only one workflow to check the translations, all in Storyline.
So what do you think ? wouldn't it be useful ?
Cheers,
