Moving group in timeline makes group longer
Hi JohnJohnson-6a8,
Thanks for reaching out!
That behavior sounds odd, and I'm happy to help troubleshoot.
I've recorded a brief demo showing how I moved a group on the timeline. I'm not experiencing the issue you described. Are you following the same steps as me? If so, have you tried importing your slides into a new Storyline project or ungrouping and regrouping the objects?
If you can share your file or a screen recording of what you're seeing, that may help us narrow down the issue! Please feel free to upload those here or privately in a support case.

Kelly;
I move groups and single items the way your video shows...same as in any other software I use with a timeline: click and drag. However, upon "click," groups grow toward the right as though something was dragging the right of the group rightward. This is new behavior.

Hi JohnJohnson-6a8,
Thanks for following up on this!
Does this happen with multiple files or just one? If it's multiple files, I would suggest following these steps to solve unexpected or erratic behavior. If the issue is specific to one file, I'd like to take a closer look at your course to help narrow down the issue.

Kelly;
This is the first time this issue has happened for me. Right when it happened, I checked what I was doing, tried on other Groups (it didn't happen with all "Groups"), saw nothing obviously wrong. Rebooted.
The problem happened again after rebooting. I decided to work on other aspects of the project while waiting for an answer. When I came into work this morning and re-opened the project, that problem didn't happen at all.
If it occurs again, I'll try to capture a video of the behavior with Snag-It. I am unable to share the project for legal reasons.
Thank you for the suggestions, including the steps to check, which I will do now.
Cheers!
