Play Audio using Player's Play/Pause Button
I would like to add audio to every slide in my course, but I would like the audio to be optional and not play automatically. I want to utilize the Player's play/pause button because I do not want to add custom buttons to every slide to control the audio.
The only way I have figured out how to control the audio with the Player's button is to insert the audio, then add a trigger that pauses the timeline when the slide begins. Then the user can press "play" if they want to hear the audio.
Is there a better way to do this? I have a bigger project coming up, and adding that trigger on every single page is going to be time consuming. If I can avoid that, I would like to.

Hi, Kathy.
Thank you for reaching out!
If it works for your design, you can add a trigger to Pause the timeline when the slide starts on your Slide Master. Every slide will be paused to begin with, and the user will need to click play to hear the audio.
I hope this helps!

Hi Maria,
That works great! Thank you for this suggestion!
For anyone else looking into this, I was also able to add conditions to the master slide. (i.e. If variable is true, don't pause slide. If Variable is false, pause slide.)
Hi Kathy,
Thanks so much for letting us know this trigger suggestion worked! Glad that my colleague Maria was able to provide a solution!
Happy developing! ✨
