PNG images with hover states flickering
A colleague of mine placed some button-like .png images in Storyline 360 as custom navigation and created a built-in hover state for each image using a similar image but with a slightly lighter color...
To fix the choppy hover state issue with .png images in Storyline 360 when played in the LMS, try these:
- Optimize .png files: Compress them for better performance.
- Use SVGs: They often perform better than .pngs.
- Test other formats: Use .jpg or .webp for smoother hover effects.
- Check LMS settings: Adjust performance or rendering options.
- Review Storyline settings: Ensure publishing with "HTML5" only and avoid "Responsive Player" if unnecessary.
These steps should improve hover performance without redesigning the course.
