Preventing video Pausing on button click in course scene transition

"I'm working on a very short course where I embed a video as a base and place a button on top of it, which redirects to another scene. My issue is that when I preview the course and click on the video, it pauses. I don't want the video to be pausable; I only want users to be able to click the button. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!"

  • Add a "mask" to the video.  Create a shape that completely covers the video. Format the shape to a solid fill but set the transparency to 100%.  Do not select "No Fill". It will treat the shape as hollow and allow users to click the underlying video.  A solid fill set to 100% transparent prevents the user from clicking the video which pauses the video.

Then add any buttons you need on top of the "mask".  See the attached file. I left the outline visible so that you can see as you edit the slide.
