Problem with Quiz Slide in second pass of scene

Hi all,

I have the following problem:

In the chapter, the learner has to answer a question at the end of the scene. After the feedback he comes back to the main menu. If a learner wants to read the scene again, they can no longer get any further with the question slide: see Chapter one
Possible solution: Install a variable on the feedback level that activates the next button. However, the built-in Next and Previous buttons are already visible on the first pass, even if they cannot be clicked: see Chapter two

I don´t like my idea, because it is not very user friendly.

For demonstration I created a mini-unit with german and English explanations. Sorry if the English version isn't entirely grammatically correct.

Thanks a lot for any creative idea!

  • Hi, Andrea,

In the attached file, I edited the question in "Chapter One" so the Prev and Next buttons will show if the user revisits the chapter.

    • I also added info to that slide to explain the changes I made.

(Oh, and by the way, there's no need to be sorry about your English. It's excellent. You should be proud!)

  • Hi Andrea,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

It looks like you shared the zipped published output to your post. If you could please share your .story Storyline project file, we can take a closer look at your setup! I'm sure other community members would be happy to chime in with solutions that have worked for them as well!

If you have any questions, just let us know!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

  • Hi Luciana,

  • Hi Judy,

horray, it works. You are my personal e-learning-hero. Thank you so much. Now i know what i have to do.

(Complaining about poor English skills is a typical German habit. It is in our DNA :-) )
