Publish to Video is Slow
Hi,
I am trying to publish an 8 min Articulate Storyline 360 video and it is taking over an hour. Is there any way to speed up publishing of these videos?
Hi Everyone!
Great news! I'm happy to share that we just released Storyline 360 (version 3.82.31354.0), which includes a new 64-bit version of Storyline 360! Harness the processing power in modern computers with 64-bit Storyline 360. Large, media-rich courses benefit from increased stability and faster performance!
To use 64-bit Storyline 360, please update your Articulate 360 desktop app, then click the Install button next to the Storyline 360 app with the 64-bit and beta labels. The Install button will change to an Open button when the installation is complete.
This was highly requested, so we hope it serves you in your course creation! If you run into any snags, don't hesitate to contact our team in a support case.

Hi, I'm currently experiencing this in the storyline. Can some one assist me?

Hello, this appears to still be an issue months later. Exporting a 3-minute video that includes 4 video clips and 12 total layers takes over an hour* on an AMD 5600x with 128gb of RAM and an Nvidia 3090. That shouldn't be possible.
Edit: * It ultimately crashes after each attempt. - JohnMorgan-c50cFormer Staff
Hi Luke,
Welcome to E-Learning Heroes! I understand Storyline is crashing when you are trying to export a video. I’m happy to work with you to figure out why this is happening! I have a few follow-up questions regarding the situation so I can understand what you are experiencing a little better.
- Is this happening with more than one file or is this the only one?
- Are you working from a shared drive? If so, I recommend saving your files on your local drive before creating, editing, and publishing them. This will help minimize any unexpected behavior.
- Are the videos imported from a file or screen recordings?
- Are you receiving an error message when Storyline crashes? If so, it'd be helpful if you could provide a screenshot or details of what it says.
Thanks for reaching out and I look forward to your response!

Taking approx. 2.5 hrs. for 17 minutes video rendering... Can anyone solve this issue
Hello Bhupendra Singh,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this snag.
We'll need to take a look at your project file so we can get a better idea of what's happening. Having us test your file might give us a clue on what's possibly causing publishing to take a while to complete. Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case for testing? We'll delete it when we're done!

Sorry to hear that publishing a Storyline course to video has been slow!
It would be easier to provide suggestions if we could have a closer look at the .story file that's giving you trouble. Would you be comfortable sharing it here in the discussion or privately through a support case?
We'll delete it from our system as soon as troubleshooting is complete!
