Quiz Issue for Rise/Storyline
Hi!
I am trying to figure out a way to create a specific type of quiz in Articulate. I need to build a quiz that my team can use to test on specific beverage recipes. For example:
1 oz Alcohol 1
0.5 oz Alcohol 2
0.5 oz Alcohol 3
0.5 oz Mixer 1
0.5 oz Mixer 2
0.5 oz Mixer 3
Ideally, we'd like to test them on listing the correct ingredients and then a secondary question where they list the correct measurements.
My problem comes in when I have a recipe like the example, with 0.5 oz on 5 of the ingredients. I can't use the matching feature in Rise because even though the amount is the same, each match is tied to a specific part. So you'd potentially get it wrong even if you got it right.
Is there a way to do this in Storyline? I know there is a drop down question available. Is it possible to feature 6 drop down possibilities in one question? I don't currently have access to Storyline because I'm on a Mac and I still need to get approval for a windows emulator. If I can solve this in Storyline, it might be the selling point for me!
Picking each ingredient as a question instead of the entire recipe is untenable, we have 17 total recipes to quiz.
Anyway, looking for ideas for this solve. What am I missing? Thanks!

Staying in Rise, you could use a separate question for the amount of each ingredient.
In Storyline, a typical matching/drop-down question would have the same issue from some responses being identical.
However, you could set up the question in different ways. For example, use a Freeform Pick Many.
- Have the list of ingredients on the left.
- Put columns of buttons, such as a column for choosing 1.5 oz, a column for 1.0 oz, a column for 0.5 oz.
- Put each row of buttons into a button set, so that the user can only pick one amount in a row.
Note: If you put a Storyline block into Rise, you can control when the user is allowed to continue (for example, if they just answer the question, or if they have to answer it correctly). Here's more info: Primer: Storyline-block completions in Rise | Articulate - Community
