Renaming Voiceover-file in Timeline
Hi,
I have over 200 voiceover-files created with the AI-voice feature in Storyline 360.
As I want to reuse them on different slides I only can find them, if the file name contains the first 3 or 4 words.
Is there a better way to rename these voiceover then this:
- Create voiceover-file
- Right click on file in the timeline
- Choose "Show in media library"
- Rename file in media library
It would be so great, if the filename automatically contains the first words OR
if I could rename the file name in the timeline immediately.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi Thorsten,
Actually, you don't need to do anything, and it will automatically contain the first words in the media library when you create it with the AI voice feature.- TH-bf52b1b3-f6fCommunity Member
Dear Joanne,
as you can see in the screenshot this does not happen with me.
All created voice snippets as labeled as "have the text read aloud 4". The next generated one would have the suffix "...5" and so on.Any idea how to change that?

Hi Thorsten,
I thought you are looking for reusing the AI voices, aren't you?
Although it will appear as 'AI Text-to-Speech #' on the timeline when inserting an AI voice, it will show the first few words of the audio in the Media Library. You can see an example screenshot below. If you want to reuse the audio, you can simply insert it from the Media Library. It's easy to find the file, as it displays what it says in the Media Library.

Hi Joanne,
that is the point.
This is not the case for me.
Same names in the media library.Regards,

Hi Thorsten,
Now I see why you have the question. Do you create AI voice with 'Text-to-Speech'(the old one) but not the newest AI audio? If you insert text-to-speech audio, it will remain as the file name as coded. However, if you create with AI voice, it should show what it says in the Media Library as mine.
