Republished courses no longer loading (scorm 1.2)

I used be able to republish an existing Rise course and re-upload it in place into my lms (Mooldle) and have it work (as long as I was only changing the content such as fixing typos and links, not changing the structure).

This now gives me a grey screen and a big error on the browser console.

Forcing a new attempt is the only way to load the packages, which I guess is the "correct" answer, but it means that people can no longer get back into the package to see their completed attempts. Also most people don't check the browser console and just see a grey screen. Is there a way to show an error message when there is an error?

    Hi Tim,

    You're right - if you're seeing a blank page, using the LMS publishing option to Reset learning progress is the best way to avoid it when overwriting versions. 

    User completion shouldn't be wiped out, however. They will lose their place in the content, but they should still show as completed. If that isn't working, we'd love to talk to you about it and see if we can help. You can start a case here.
