Retry Quiz trigger set to "Reset only incorrect questions" but also displays correctly answered questions
Hello Heroes,
I need your help with quiz triggers.
I have created a quiz in Storyline 360, to embed in a Rise 360 eLearning. In that quiz, on the results slide the Review Quiz button trigger is set only to show the incorrect answers and is working as expected. The Retry Quiz button trigger (shown below) is set to "Reset only incorrect questions".
When retrying the quiz, the incorrect questions display so the learner can try answering the question correctly. However, one or two of the questions that were answered correctly are also displayed. This is not what we want.
I'm sure I've botched the triggers somewhere, but I am at a loss as to where exactly I went wrong.
I have attached the .story file to this thread for your reference.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, Laura!
I've been working with your file and when I restart the quiz I see the correct answer but just for a split second. Is that what happens on your end as well or is the slide there longer?
Looking forward to your response!

HI John,
Sorry for the delayed response. I did not recieve an email notification that someone had answered my query.
Anyway, to answer your question; no, this is not what I'm seeing.
When I retake the quiz, and retake only the incorrectly answered questions, I also see the correctly answered questions, but not for a split second: they stay on screen until I advance to the next slide. If that next answer is also correct, I have to advance the slide again.
Also, when retaking the quiz, once I answer an incorrectly answered question correctly, that (now) correctly answered question reappears and I have to advance to the next slide. I have to repeat this process multiple times, until the quiz finally advances to the final result.
Is is possible to have a virtual meeting, so I can show you?
Thank you,
Laura Ann LoCicero
Hi Laura!
Thank for you explaining in further detail what you are seeing. I went ahead and opened a support case on your behalf so we can investigate what's going on with your course when learners select retry quiz. You should hear from our team soon via email.

Thank you so much. I have already received an email to that effect. I appreciate the prompt response.
Wonderful, Laura! I see you are working with our colleague Darrell. You're in great hands!
Have a great day! ☀️

This is happening to me right now. Is it possible to share the outcome ?

I'm having exactly the same experience that Laura described above...
"When I retake the quiz, and retake only the incorrectly answered questions, I also see the correctly answered questions, but not for a split second: they stay on screen until I advance to the next slide. If that next answer is also correct, I have to advance the slide again.
Also, when retaking the quiz, once I answer an incorrectly answered question correctly, that (now) correctly answered question reappears and I have to advance to the next slide. I have to repeat this process multiple times, until the quiz finally advances to the final result."

Hi Deb,
Good news! We were able to troubleshoot the issue the previous poster had but the solution was specific to the way she had her course set up. I'm sure we can troubleshoot yours as well! Would you be willing to share your file here or with our support engineers privately in a support case?
Thanks for reaching out!

That’s great news! My company won’t allow me to share the file. ☹ Is there something else we can try?
Kind regards,
Deb
Hi Deb,
I understand the need for confidentiality, but it will be easier if we can look into the file. Our Support team can sign an NDA, and they’ll delete the file once they find the issue.
Feel free to run this by your organization in case it changes their opinion on file sharing.
Hope this helps!
