Rise 360 | Uploading Audio Files Not Working
Hi everyone,
I’ve added an audio block in a Rise course, but I’m unable to upload an mp3 file. There’s no error message – nothing happens at all.
Is this a known issue?

Hi EstherH,
I'm happy to help!
I understand that nothing happens when you upload an mp3 file to an audio block in your Rise 360 course. I tested this out with multiple mp3 files and was able to upload successfully. Here are the steps I took after inserting an audio block:
- Select the pencil (content) icon on the left side of the block
- Select Upload
- Choose your mp3 file and select Open
- Exit out of the Edit Audio side panel - you will not see a loading symbol or your file appear as attached
- Select the play button in your course to test if the file was successfully uploaded
If the issue persists, please try uploading another audio file to help us narrow down why this occurs. It would also be helpful to see a copy of your course and audio file for further troubleshooting, which you can share in support case!

I'm experiencing the same issue today. All of my previously working audio files in a Rise360 course won't play and when I try to upload new ones, nothing happens. (They're all mp3 files.)
Are you still experiencing the same issue?

This is happening to me as well. I tried to do it yesterday and it didn't work. Then tried to do the same thing today...still can't upload audio.

I'm glad it wasn't just me today! I just opened my course back up and now the audio files are working again. 🤷♀️

Hello TarynHunt-a1f89 and Deborah_B800,
Sorry to hear about the audio issues in Rise 360!
I'm glad the audio files are working again on your end, TarynHunt-a1f89. But are you now able to upload MP3 files to your Rise blocks? It was possibly a network glitch, as I was able to upload a short audio file to an Audio block.
If the issue persists, would you be willing to share the affected audio file with us so we can run some tests with it? You may also share it privately by sending it along in a support case. We'll delete it when we're done testing.

I was able to upload audio files again at the end of last week. But now all audio files in the course have disappeared and I can’t upload anything anymore.
Hello EstherH,
I'm sorry to hear that you encountered this issue. I'd like to ask a few questions to clarify your experience.
- For the missing audio files, did this occur in only one course, or are your other courses affected as well?
- When you say you can't upload anything anymore, do you get an error message when trying to upload a media file? If yes, would you mind sharing a screenshot of the error?
- Does deleting existing blocks and replacing them with new ones help?
- Does importing your lessons into a new Rise 360 course help to correct the behavior?
I tested uploading media files in a new Rise 360 course, and everything seems to be working properly. Please open a case with our support team here if you'd like us to troubleshoot one of your affected Rise 360 courses.

Thank you for your response! It seems to be an issue with our company network, as everything works normally when I’m working from home. I have already opened a support case and received a response with instructions for our IT on how to resolve this.
