Rise 360 Analytics Tools or Features?

Recently, there became a need for my unit to begin tracking time spent working on custom courses for other departments within our organization. Before I explore other alternatives, I was curious if there were any analytics tools or features which track this sort of data already? 

If not, what strategies or best practices do others use to track their time spent working on courses? Our time tracked begins when we meet with the department, to any troubleshooting that may be needed after publishing.
