Rise and adding Audio
I'm playing around in Rise and I cannot see a way to add audio. Is this not possible? Currently I'm looking at an Image and text, but I would want to add audio to almost anything. This would be highly disappointing.

I am suprised at how many threads I come across that have been started 2 or 3 years ago asking for features that I am interested in and rise hasn't done anything with the suggestions. Makes me worried that if there is something that I need in Rise 360 that it will fall upon deaf ears even if multiple people have requested it.
I am interested in what has been requested in this thread.

I would like to also ask hat all blocks have audio options. I have just read through 3 years of these requests. Are you guys still updating Rise360? The staff responses are getting fewer and fewer on the topic....
Hi there, Rhoda. Thanks for adding your voice. We don't have immediate plans to add audio to additional blocks, but we are monitoring these discussions and tagging them to be updated if we release a change that will help. Here's our release history for Rise 360 so far!

After years of requests for this, Articulate is just saying "Too bad!" ? I developed a course in Rise, and just assumed we could add audio, like any other eLearning authoring tool. Now I may have just wasted my time, because Rise and it's developers couldn't be bothered to add this feature?
This really is a BASIC request, have audio automatically play. If a device doesn't support it, so be it. It should still be a feature. You would think YEARS of the same request would get through to Articulate.

Any idea when this feature might be added? We are trying to make our training as accessible as possible and adding audio that would automatically start playing would be helpful.
Hi Valentin!
Accessibility is important to us, too! Our plans are to meet WCAG 2.1 by the end of 2020, and this will include full screen reader support. Screen readers will read every element on the screen, so you won't need to add audio manually. We'll let you know when we've got more to share!
Sure, Ryan! Here's the list of blocks I used in that lesson.
- Paragraph with heading block
- Continue block (completion type: none)
- Audio block
- Continue block (completion type: complete block directly above)

- Audio block
Let me know if that helps!
Hi Melissa!
As you are building your course, you will see the option to 'Record Audio', which also has the option to import:

Is there a way to record audio into a dialogue in a scenario block? like what we can do in a labelled graphic block.
Hi Andreas. No audio in scenario blocks, right now! It's a request that we're tracking, so I'll make sure you're notified if we make changes that will help.

Is there any way to have audio play automatically in a block or lesson instead of having to initiate the playback as a user?
Maybe you add a text block right proceeding giving the audio some context.

Yes, certainly could do that. Thanks.

Do we have any option adding audio in any other screens other than Block>Multimedia>Audio screens
Hi Chiranjib,
You can also include media such as audio in the lesson types like the Process interaction, labelled graphic or timeline. You'll see in each of those when you go to add the individual items such as a marker in labelled graphic that they also have the option to include media or embed audio.
Hope that helps!

Hi, Is this still possible?
Hi Monica!
It is possible to still add audio to lesson types like the process interaction, labeled graphic, and timeline.
