Rise Spacer Background Image

Howdy Heroes,

Hoping someone in the community can help me out with something?

I'm trying to add some brand specific images to the spacer block in Rise, to introduce a bit more branding into our developments.

When I add the image in editing mode, it looks fine and how I would expect and want it to look. However, when I preview it, it cuts a significant portion of the brand element in half.

Editing Mode:

Preview Mode:

The images have been crudely developed in PPT using freeform shapes and grouping, so I'm not sure if that's the issue? I've played around with the padding in the block itself, but that just seems to make things worse.

I initially thought it was because the orange square was "touching" the top of the image, but even when I adjust the positioning of that, it still cuts it off.

Hope that makes sense?

Thanks in advance,

Neil

  • It might be cropped or it might be that the image's height is squished. I don't have an explanation.

I do have a solution, though: insert the image into an Image block.

    • If you want some margins on the left and right, use the Image Centered block.
    • Don't use the misnamed Image Full Width block. That resizes/crops an image in weird ways.
    • If you want the image to show from edge to edge in the browser, use the Labeled Graphic block. Set its image width to Full Width. And, of course, delete the labels.

Here's an example of the same wide-but-short image in those types of blocks:

      Hi Nadine,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I always save my images with that wording, so unfortunately, that's not the answer!

Thanks for your help nonetheless 😀
