Screen reader not recognising any elements

I am testing my project using NVDA, and it won't recognise any elements on my slides. I have ensure that they are in the focus order, have alternative text, and that the "object is visible to accessibility tools" box is ticked. I've tried publishing the scene and testing it in my browser, but I can't navigate through the text boxes or buttons using my keyboard at all. The screen reader is recognising the Storyline player, but none of the slide elements.

What could be the problem here?

  • Hi Emma,

    Happy to help!

Can I ask if you get the same behavior when you tab through the elements and when you use your keyboard's up and down arrow keys? This article explains the expected behavior for both:

If the slide elements still aren't detected by tabbing or using the keyboard keys, please share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening. We'll delete it when we're done testing!
