Section Titles & Structures
We're trying to build a lengthy course in rise, that has Lesson>Topic structure, and are trying to use the Section Title structure.
Some frustrations:
- The Section Titles are smaller font than the Topic titles... this makes them a bit obscure.
- You can't enter content at the Lesson level - sometimes there is introductory material that we'd like to put at that level.
- The other issue, is that when going through the course, you can't tell when the next Lesson begins. There is no transition between the last topic of the first Lesson and the first topic of the second Lesson, for example.
- Topics are numbered continuously; e.g. under Lesson 1, you'd see Topics 1-4. Then, under Lesson 2, the continue numbering Topic 5-9 instead of starting the numbering over for that lesson. I'd like to be able to designate this renumbering option for each section.

This request has been ongoing for OVER three years in this and other threads. The threads in themselves are indicative of how important this feature request is for many users and their learners. The fact that it is NOT on your roadmap is concerning!!!
My question is WHY is this not on your roadmap?
You only need to trawl through the threads and requests to see this is not a 'nice to have feature' but a necessity for our learners to simplify their user experience.
In addition - I have just reviewed the features on your roadmap. My concern is that you are adding more bells and whistles but not attending to foundational navigation features to enhance and support the user experience to move through a course.
Please address these comments. It's so frustrating how, again and again with Rise, I encounter a problem and search the forums for a solution only to find that people have been asking for it to be addressed for YEARS.
+2 on all of that, especially point 3 which in my opinion means that sections are not able to be used at all. If I structured a course as follows:
Section - Football
Topic - Number of players
Topic - Rules and regulations
Topic - Governing bodiesSection - Basketball
Topic - Number of players
Topic - Rules and regulations
Topic - Governing bodiesAs a user, when completing this course I transitions from Number of players to rules and regulations to governing bodies to number of players ... etc without anything to indicate I've just moved from Football to Basketball.
As a result, as a workaround, I need to structure my course as follows which is very clumsy:
Topic - Football - Number of players
Topic - Football - Rules and regulations
Topic - Football - Governing bodies
Topic - Basketball - Number of players
Topic - Basketball - Rules and regulations
Topic - Basketball - Governing bodiesAny progress in this area to make sections more useful would be great!

LouiseThe best workaround for this just now is to add an 'Introduction' page as the first page in each section. It can even be made to look quite different in style (i.e. a big banner image with the section title) so that it is clear that a change of section has occurred.

Thanks for you suggestion. This is the same as my first example, but the problem is that as a user, when completing this course I transitions from Number of players to rules and regulations to governing bodies to number of players ... etc without anything to indicate I've just moved from Football to Basketball. Therefore using sections (which is what I'd like to do) isn't possible.
