Slow down audio on text to speech
I see two years ago there was going to be an update to help with the issue of the text to speech being too fast. Has this upgrade been done yet? I need my students to be able to understand the videos.
Hi, everyone!
I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 83, we’ve included important fixes and new features!
One enhanced feature we’ve included:
Unlock new possibilities for text-to-speech audio. Use speech synthesis markup language (SSML) to adjust the speaking rate, modify pronunciation, emphasize words, add pauses, and more.
To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here!

Renee you can add my voice to this topic as well. Not having the ability to control the speed of Text to Speech is my number one complaint about this program!

Greetings! I'm going to add my voice to this highly needed feature request. As mentioned above, we also have a significant (over 50% of our audience) international audience, and we need to slow down the speech generated in the TTS feature of Storyline 360.
Any clues as to when/if this feature will be available?
Thanks - Russ

I'll just add my vote for this feature, as well! I am liking the ability to create text-to-speech, but I wish that I could control the speed to make it more understandable.
Thanks for sharing that you’d also like this enhancement in Storyline 360, Tara. I've added your voice to the feature request!

I have updated Storyline360, but still not sure how to slow down the text to voice in Storyline. Is there a guide somewhere?
Hello VikkiTierney,
You can check out the supported SSML tags in Storyline 360 here. The specific tag you're looking for is the Prosody tag, which is responsible for adjusting the speaking rate. Here is an example of its usage:
<speak>
Although in some cases, it might help your audience to <prosody rate="85%">slow
the speaking rate slightly to aid in comprehension.</prosody>
</speak>Hope this helps!

Hi - Please add Infomatica to the list. Our company really needs the option to be able to speed up or slow down voices in storyline.

With international audiences for our training, the ability to slow down or speed up voices in storyline is critical to the success of the training we produce. Would appreciate if this could be put as a high priority as it's the #1 items that is requested from our learners.

This is still an open feature request but I have added your voices to it and here is how we handle feature requests.
