Software training Storyline - hotspot issue

Hi.

I've created a course with several "try out" software scenes (by recording the screen and having storyline create the steps).  One of them is a test out/quiz where the learner should try by themselves, after learning the basics.
I'm using the hotspots created by storyline to move on to the next slide/the recording.

The issues: I've added a marker to each of the slides, so if the learners get stuck during the process, they can get some help. However, when pressing it it obviously comes up as wrong, as this is not the hotspot the should be pressing to continue.

Does anyone know any workaround on how I can keep the marker in the slide, and be able to click it without getting the "question wrong?

Create a new layer for each slide with a marker.  Then put the marker on the new layer. Open the layer properties for this layer. De-select the Hide other slide layers,

Create a trigger on the base layer to show the layer with the marker when the timeline starts or some other event, like a cue point or timeline ending.

    That should work. See attached.

  • Ah, yes, that seems to be working. Never thought layers would overwrite it. Than you!
