Storyline 360 - Brief flash/glitch between slide layers after revisiting for a second/third time

Hello, I recently saw a similar post to my current issue, however, updating to the latest version of Storyline 360 hasn't fixed my problem.

There are no issues during the initial visit, but after revisiting the layers a second/third time, the layers start glitching before moving on to the next. I've set the layers to "Reset to initial state" when revisiting.

There are no animations or transitions. The slide properties that are currently checked are "hide other slide layers," "hide objects on base layer," and "prevent the user from clicking on other layer."

Can someone help fix this issue?

Thanks,

I can’t replicate the issue on my end. It’s hard to tell what might have gone wrong without actually seeing your setup. Would you mind sharing your slide or even a simplified version so someone can take a closer look?

  • I download your test story and I'm not sure what you are talking about. It seems to play/work fine. There is a little blink as I click on the arrow to move back and forth between the layers, but that's all. But it moves OK.

Right. It works as it supposed to. But if you revisit the layers using the arrows (triggers) after a second or third time, the glitching starts. Every time you click the arrow to move forward or back, it glitches before moving to the next layer. When it glitches, you can see the next layer quickly and disappears before transitioning.

I can confirm the same behavior. It appears to be a video issue where, after a video finishes playing and you start it again, the first frame of the next triggered video briefly displays. It seems as if the video gets stuck on that frame, and when replayed, it starts from there instead of from the beginning, as it did the first time. I recommend reaching out to Articulate support with a clear description of this issue.
