Storyline Crashes when Uploading to Review 360

I've uploaded about ten Storyline courses to Review recently. I'm trying to upload my new course, the upload process starts, then Storyline crashes (just shuts down). I've done the typical restart and the problem persists. Does anyone have any idea why I'm suddenly getting this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Matt

  • Hello MSBennett!

Happy to share that we've just released a new update for Storyline 360!

In our April 2nd Update, we've released a fix for: Storyline 360 could unexpectedly close while publishing a project.

Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here.

Please let me know if you need additional help.

I didn't see the update option (I've done plenty of updates in the past...so I think I know what I'm looking for). I restarted my computer, thinking that might get me the update. When I open the desktop 360 app, I get this screen. Unsure what to do

Just FYI, I opened the course directly from the file. When I tried to publish to Review, it crashed again.

  • Hi MSBennett,

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble publishing from Storyline to Review.

It sounds like the issue may be local to that specific .story file. I have some follow-up questions to help us troubleshoot this better:

    • Is this .story file stored on your local hard drive? Authoring and publishing directly from a network drive can introduce unexpected behavior like this.
    • Can you publish the file to other formats such as LMS, or the Web?
    • Do you see any error messages when Storyline crashes? If so, seeing a screenshot of what the error says would be helpful.

It's also possible a corrupted Slide or object is getting in the way. If you're comfortable sharing the affected project file, we're happy to take a closer look and test it on our end. Feel free to share that here in the discussion or privately through a support case.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

      Thanks, Steven,

      • The file is stored locally
      • No - crashes in other formats as well
      • No error message, Storyline just closes

I will create a support case. Thanks, Matt

        Hey MSBennett,

        Thanks for following up

I see that your support case has been received by my teammate Cleober. It looks like he's currently testing your .story file, and should be following up with you soon.

We can continue the conversation there!
