Two Part Training
I work for a university hospital. My team and I have been asked to make a two part training - one part is for people who have contact with patients and another part is for both those with patient contact and those without. Is there a way to "jump" those people without patient contact to only the portion they have to complete or do we have to make two trainings? I suspect this is going to be an ongoing issue because more people are asking us to convert their old PowerPoint slides to our Rise/Storyline format when they see how great this format works.

You can steer folks down different paths and/or require that they complete different parts of a course.

thanks for the suggestion! I've used the different paths method by using a menu in Storyline and that might be the way to go but we now use Rise mostly, with Storyline components added in. I was hoping to not use Storyline for the whole thing if I don't have to. I'm sure we could just explain in the introduction that they only need to do specific sections if they don't have patient contact. I was exploring to see if I could find functionality similar to the PowerPoint function they use now where you click a button and it jumps you to the section that you need.

BrendaLowther : The interactive Button block in Rise can be set to jump to another lesson.
The main issue with Rise is that you can't ensure folks will go through the content they're supposed to. That could be an issue with folks who check compliance.
If you want to stick with Rise, I think it would be best to create two courses. For simplicity, I'd divide them like this:
- what everyone needs to know
- what those in contact with patients need to know
