Uploading Articulate Rise content to a website

Good morning, Articulate Community!

Could you upload content built in Articulate Rise to a website like SharePoint sites? If so, what is the process? Thank you for you advice in advance :)

  • Hi AnnieSharbeen there are a few existing SharePoint threads in the forum. It won't really matter if the information is for Storyline or Rise Web published content, as the solution will be the same. It might be worth checking those threads, and posting on there to get the attention of users who frequently use Articulate products with SharePoint. Good luck.

You could also edit the title of your post to include SharePoint as it will catch the attention of the right people, e.g "Help Launching Rise content from SharePoint".

Hi SamHill, thanks for your reply and suggestion. SharePoint was just an example. I wanted to know whether I could upload Articulate Rise content to any websites.

You can upload to a website. It is HTML based and so will run on a webserver.

Ahh, awesome! Do you have the instructions on how to do that? Or point me to them, please?

After building your content, just publish for WEB. You then just need to upload those files to the public directory on your website.

Who is your hosting provider? Sometimes you can access the cPanel (control panel) of your website and upload files through there.

For specific instructions related to your hosting provider, I would recommend checking the FAQS or using chatgpt to ask "how do I upload my websites files to X provider". The instructions do not have to be Rise/Storyline specific as it's just HTML.

Publicize Your Content: Start by making your Rise project available online. To accomplish this, open your project in Rise 360, choose "Web" as the output type2, and click the "Publish" button in the top right corner.

Get the Publicly Available Files: A zip file with all the required files will be created after publication. Install this zip file on your PC.

Upload to a Web Server: The published files can be uploaded to your web server using an FTP client. Here's how:

Using Articulates FTP Feature: Select "FTP" from the Publish Successful dialog. Click "Send" to upload the content after entering your FTP credentials (server, port, username, password, and directory).
