Variables to change states not working

Hi,

I am experiencing a problem where a variable does no longer change a state on another slide. I attach a SL as an example, where once the blue box on slide 1 is clicked, the blue box on slide 3 should be changed to visited. The variable works, but the state is not changed. Am I missing something here?
