Video Speed
Hello,
I understood from going through these boards that there is no way to create a "jump back 30 seconds" button for video/timeline navigation. I would be happy to be proven wrong. Also, is there any way to manipulate video speed and offer a control for that?
Thanks in advance,
Erez

you are correct there is no way to do this
Hi Erez,
It's not possible right now as Phil mentioned, but I'm sure it's somethings others would want so you may want to look at submitting a feature request to our team here.

Hi Erez,
As Phil and Ashley have said, there is no way to create a "jump back 30 seconds" button.
For the video speed, you could sort of fake it by exporting a few different copies of your video at different speeds and placing each copy on a different slide or layer. The user could select a speed at the beginning and view that speed.
However, if the user chose a different speed during playback, the video would start over from the beginning -- it wouldn't be like on Lynda.com, where the video keeps its point in the timeline even as you change from slow to normal to fast.

Hello,
Belen, thank you for the workaround. I just sent a request for this feature. It'd be so helpful for my learners.
Best,
Aaron

If you use video controls, clicking on the seek bar jumps to that spot. If your video starts with the timeline, the slide timeline is the same as the video timeline, and clicking on it jumps to that spot.

Any update from Articulate on the status of any feature request to allow user to manipulate the speed of video playback when viewing a video via the Storyline player?
No update yet, Marc. You're also welcome to share your thoughts directly with a Feature request here

Eğitimlerime video hızını değiştirmeyi nasıl ekleyebilirim?
Hello Ataberk!
This currently isn't a feature in Storyline 360 yet! I've linked this conversation to our feature request so I can update you when it's added as a feature in an upcoming release!

Javascript kodunu pakete yerleştirirsem bunun olabileceğini düşünüyorum. Yanlış mıyım ?

Hi, Ataberk.
While we don't offer support for Javascript, take a look at some of the posts in this discussion for additional conversation and suggestions.
I hope this helps!
Hello Everyone!
I'm happy to share that we have released Storyline 360 version 65 (Build 3.65.28121.0) today!
Included in this release is an enhancement where all learners are enabled to interact with videos via accessible controls that match the modern player style, exceed color contrast guidelines, and communicate perfectly with screen readers. Learners can even change the playback speed, switch to full-screen mode, and use picture-in-picture mode to move videos to a floating window.
Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let us know if you have any questions by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly.
Have a great day!
